Every piece, every stage, every studio.

From wheel to shelf, ClayStudio is built around how potters actually work — not how software people imagine pottery.

Idea to complete, mapped to the studio.

Eight stages, one piece.

Each vessel moves through the eight clay stages — idea, centered, trimmed, bone dry, bisque fired, glazed, glaze fired, complete. Pieces carry notes, photos, and the stage they're currently in. "Needs your attention" surfaces pieces that have been waiting, so nothing on the shelf becomes a mystery.

Saved by name, color, and what worked.

A library you actually look at.

Glazes saved by name and the color they fired to, with the recipe behind each one. Favorites for the glazes you reach for. Application notes — how you applied it, what the result was — so the next firing isn't starting from zero.

Bisque or glaze. Cones, temperature, what's inside.

Every firing, logged.

The kiln log holds firings you've completed and firings you're planning. The active firing shows what's inside and where it is in the schedule — what you'd be sorry to lose if power went out. Cone tracking and temperature curves stay with each firing for next time.

Rosters, attendance, and a portfolio PDF.

For when there's a class to run.

Track each student's pieces across the term. Attendance is two taps. The portfolio export is a single PDF — every piece, every photo, every stage — ready to email or print for parents. Class series and roll-overs keep the start of each term short.

Runs, commissions, consignment, cost tracking.

When the studio is also a business.

Track which shop has what, what sold, what came back. Commissions carry due dates and the photos a client signed off on. Cost tracking gives you the actual cost-per-piece — clay, glaze, electricity, your time — so the year-end numbers stop being guesswork.
